History
The Federation was founded by the pioneers of the waste tyre, rubber and plastics business in 1958, who felt the need to meet and talk with colleagues, and others with similar interests.

Who are the ITRPF members
Because of its wide appeal, the Federation expanded, and now has members from all over the world.
Whilst the Federation initially catered only for waste tyre, rubber and plastics specialists, its influence spread and attracted specialists from other allied fields.
Thus the Federation membership is now made up of new and remould tyre manufacturers, dealers, rubber compounders, plastics recyclers, rubber recyclers, remoulders, machinery manufacturers and dealers as well as the original waste tyre, rubber and plastics specialist.
